Our Ensemble
Solo Semble is the embodiment of pure synergy. It is not merely a collection of individual soloists, but a finely tuned, living organism where every instrument and voice creates a unique dialogue between eras.
Solo Semble is the embodiment of pure synergy. It is not merely a collection of individual soloists, but a finely tuned, living organism where every instrument and voice creates a unique dialogue between eras.
In November 2022, the ensemble came together at the historic Emil Berliner Studios, the legendary birthplace of Deutsche Grammophon. Born from this extraordinary session is a deeply poignant recording of Myroslav Skoryk’s 'Melody.' This video captures more than just our ensemble’s technical perfection; it embodies the very emotional essence of our musical mission.
About the Conductor
Serhii Nesteruk
At the podium of Solo Semble is Serhii Nesteruk—an outstanding representative of the new generation of European conductors. His international acclaim is impressively underscored by a brilliant First Prize at the 12th 'Luigi Mancinelli' International Opera Conducting Competition in Italy (2024), as well as the Audience Award at the Vienna Conducting Competition (2023).
He commands a profound operatic and symphonic repertoire, which he has showcased on major European stages. He has conducted Puccini’s Tosca and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 to great acclaim at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Further milestones of his career include performances of Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Aalto-Theater Essen and the Staatsoper Košice (Slovakia), Verdi’s Il Trovatore at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto, as well as his highly regarded debut at the prestigious Festival of Young Artists Bayreuth..
Preceding this international rise, he spent seven years (2014–2021) as a conductor and chorus master at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theatre —a perfect training ground for mastering complex vocal genres and the nuanced art of working with vocal soloists.
Profoundly influenced by the invaluable guidance of world-renowned maestros such as Christian Thielemann, Paavo Järvi, and Vladimir Jurowski, Serhii Nesteruk shapes the virtuoso voices of Solo Semble into a delicately balanced ensemble of the highest artistic caliber.

The Musicians

More than Music
Solo Semble did not begin on the stage. It began with the question of what to do when you cannot look away.
