Solo Semble is the intersection of art and leadership. Daria Bardash founded this project out of the conviction that great music needs not only talent, but also structured organization, funding, and visibility. While she graces the stage as a soprano, behind the scenes she directs the very processes that make these performances possible.
Discipline from the very beginning
Daria grew up in a family that understood art and achievement as a unity: professional athletes, circus artists — and her father as Deputy General Director of the National Circus of Ukraine. Early on, she learned what lies behind artistic ease: structure, discipline, and the ability to lead complex processes. This combination — stage and management, intuition and method — shapes her work with Solo Semble to this day.
Prior to arriving in Germany, Daria successfully built her own company in Ukraine. In 2021, she founded the "Strong Voice" school, featuring three disciplines (vocal performance, acting, and public speaking for business leaders) across two locations in Irpin and Bucha. The experience of developing a project from scratch — from a mere concept to a scaled enterprise — laid the groundwork for everything that followed.
From an Idea to an Institution
In Berlin, Daria took a different path: starting not with a business, but with a pure idea. Solo Semble was born as a non-profit cultural initiative, arising from twelve benefit concerts across three German cities that she personally organized and brought to life. As a cultural manager, she forged strategic partnerships: philanthropic patronage from Catherine von Fürstenberg-Dussmann; funding from the E&B Weik Foundation and European cultural institutions; a partnership with the Emil Berliner Studios; and the recording of three works by Ukrainian composers in the legendary home of Deutsche Grammophon.
